Location: Glasgow area
Salary: £30,000-£33,000
Summary:
Our client, an established specialist provider of FMCG products. We seek an energetic, forward thinking Transport Controller with the experience required to deliver.
The company is recognised for supreme levels of customer service, a great value proposition and world-class standards in its supply chain operation. They have a requirement for Transport Controller who will be joining a successful team at a depot servicing the needs of their customers.
Working Mon-Fri, rotating shifts 4am - 12.30pm & 12.00pm - 8.30pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Your main priorities will be the co-ordination of the transport operation to ensure the timely, efficient and cost-effective delivery of products.
* You will allocate resources, organise schedules and ensure that robust planning is in place to meet agreed service levels.
* Daily data input of KPI's, daily delivery and collection issues, prepare paperwork for deliveries.
* Report on accidents and vehicle damage.
* Meeting transport legislation commitments from a planning perspective.
* Manage the workload for your 3PL transport.

Key Skills/Experience:
* We seek a transport planning professional with operational experience gained within a fast-paced environment.
* You will be fully conversant with up-to-date transport planning tools. Furthermore, you will be passionate about continuous improvement and will constantly strive to improve operational efficiencies and fleet performance whilst minimising costs.
* Be confident in your ability to bring a wealth of knowledge to this fast-paced operation then we encourage you to apply immediately for this role, as our client is eager to make an appointment.
* At least 3 Years' experience within a FMCG transport environment.
