Transport Co-ordinator (Nights)

Are you calm under pressure, highly organised, and ready to take ownership of critical night transport operations? We’re looking for a Transport Co-ordinator to oversee the overnight tracking and movement of goods, ensuring accurate updates to customers and seamless communication with internal teams.

You’ll work either independently or with one or two colleagues during the night shift, playing a key part in keeping deliveries running smoothly and efficiently.

• Input and manage transport jobs on the system accurately

• Track shipments and keep customers informed in real time

• Liaise with subcontractors and carriers, including rate negotiations when required

• Plan vehicle movements and communicate with warehouse teams

• Close out completed jobs and ensure documentation is filed correctly

• Escalate urgent issues quickly and effectively

• Work closely with Operations, Accounts, and Warehousing

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• Positive, proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset

• Ideally, experience in transport/logistics (UK, EU or international)

• Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

• Training: Full training provided during day shifts for 6-8 weeks (40 hours/week, salary pro-rated)

• Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

• Reporting to: Operations Manager

• Location: This is a fully office-based role - hybrid/remote working is not available
