Transport Manager

We are supporting a leading business in Wickford with recruiting for an experienced, permanent Transport Manager, working full-time. You will be working 45 hours per week, with flexibility around start and end times, Monday - Friday. The salary is up to £50,000 depending on your experience. Duties will include:

• Leading the Transport team, upskilling and training where necessary
• Control profit and loss for the department
• Managing compliance with policies and legal regulations
• Ensure all drivers are fully compliant
• Report vehicle defects efficiently, ensuring all company vehicles are taxed and insured
• Maintain up to date administration records
• Work alongside the production and sales team to meet company deadlines

To be successful for this position you must have transport management experience, and also involvement in strategy and leadership. You must have knowledge of driver compliance and legislation as you will be required to come in and hit the ground running with training staff and ensuring compliance. Passion and professionalism are a must, with the ability to be able to motivate and ensure the team act in the same manner at all times, maintaining the company's high standard.
