Transport Manager

Transport Manager Required. Our client, an established logistics provider in Southeast London, is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee and expand its transport and warehousing operations. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can bring an existing client base and drive business growth from day one.

Operating for nearly 20 years, this HMRC excise-approved facility delivers comprehensive logistics solutions, including bonded warehousing, ambient storage, and nationwide distribution. With a fleet of 7 articulated vehicles, they also offer services such as customs declarations, EMCS movements, and multi-modal freight - ensuring goods are handled efficiently and in full compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily transport operations, including route planning and driver coordination
• Oversee bonded warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
• Leverage existing client relationships to generate new business opportunities
• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement growth strategies

Requirements:

• Proven experience in transport and warehouse management
• Valid CPC qualification is advantageous
• Strong network of industry contacts and the ability to bring in new clients
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Hands-on approach with a focus on operational excellence
