Gleeson has been partnered with a Transport and warehousing business looking for a Transport Manager this professional should have a proven track record in compliance and delivering cost savings towards the overall operation.

Job Title: Transport Manager
Locations: Lancaster
Salary: £40 - 55,000 + Benefits

Duties:

• Lead the day-to-day haulage operations, ensuring full compliance with legal, industry, and health & safety standards.
• Provide strong and visible leadership to cross-functional site teams, including drivers and transport office personnel.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, ensuring consistent service delivery and proactive communication.
• Drive P&L accountability, aligning resource planning with both operational demands and financial objectives.
• Foster a high-performance culture by leading, mentoring, and developing team members across all levels.
• Ensure strict adherence to DVSA guidelines, O-Licence conditions, tachograph usage, and working time directive compliance.
