Transport Manager

Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking for a new opportunity in the distribution industry? Our client is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Transport Manager to join their team. With a flexible approach, excellent analytical and planning skills, you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of their busy transport operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with legislation and regular audit of maintenance schedules
• Support accident investigations and ensure health and safety requirements are met
• Act as the point of contact for motor insurance and handle daily defects on holiday cover
• Order fuel and ensure all vehicles are licenced, registered, and insured
• Effectively manage vehicle scheduling for maintenance and repairs
• Report on accidents/incidents and perform any other duties as required

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage - International
• Detailed understanding of relevant transport and health & safety legislations
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Previous experience in Transport Management

In this role, you will work closely with the operations teams, drivers and customer quality team to ensure the efficient functioning of the transport operations.
