Transport Manager

Right Now Group are working with a leading freight forwarder seeking a Transport Manager. This role is pivotal in managing a team of planners and drivers, and ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

This position would suit someone looking to make take the jump into freight.

Salary: £50,000
Location: Heathrow
Shift: 4 on 4 OFF 18:00-06:00

• Manage a team of planners and drivers, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers and main hauliers
• Maintaining strong communication and relationships.
• Oversee all aspects of transport operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety standards,
• Lead, motivate, and develop planning teams
• Drive operational efficiency by managing staff planning, setting clear objectives, and meeting key performance indicators
• Propose and implement operational changes to enhance performance and improve efficiency.
• Ensure ongoing development and training within the team

• Minimum of 5 years within Transpor
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams
• A confident and professional communicator, skilled at building relationships at all levels.
• Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a competitive and fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively and work within an evolving organization.
