Transport Operations Supervisor

Red Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Operations Co-ordinator to join an established logistics company specialising in UK and European road transport and international freight forwarding.

This is a varied role combining transport planning, warehouse co-ordination and customer service, ideal for someone with transport or logistics experience looking for their next opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

* Co-ordinating daily UK and European transport bookings.

* Managing warehouse goods in and out and maintaining stock control.

* Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding bookings, quotations and queries.

* Preparing transport paperwork and processing import/export customs clearance where required.

* Managing jobs from booking through to completion.

* Supporting the sales team with quotations and service information.

* Negotiating rates with suppliers and resolving operational issues.

* Occasional loading and unloading of vehicles using a counterbalance forklift.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday – 08:30–17:30

Requirements

* Previous transport, logistics or freight forwarding experience preferred.

* Warehouse experience and a valid forklift licence.

* Customer service experience.

* Good communication and organisational skills.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving.

Salary & Benefits

Up to £35,000 per annum
