Transport Planner

Transport Planner – Sheffield - £35,000 - £40,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be partnering with a leading global manufacturer in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Transport Planner to join their team.

This newly created role will be responsible for organising and coordinating the transportation of goods to various customer locations, working closely with a network of external hauliers. This role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries, cost-effective transport solutions, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly transport requirements using external hauliers
• Liaise with hauliers to allocate loads and manage delivery timelines
• Communicate with internal departments (e.g., production, sales) to understand delivery needs and prioritise accordingly
• Ensure transport plans are cost-efficient and compliant with legal requirements
• Monitor deliveries and address any delays or issues as they arise
• Maintain accurate transport records and update systems accordingly
• Provide administrative support for transport-related documentation, including PODs and invoices
• Continuously review and improve transport planning processes

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday

Required skills & experience:

• Experience in transport planning
• Previously worked with external hauliers
• Strong communication skills
