Transport Planner

Our client has recently relocated to the Port Of Felixstowe, we have a number of vacancies for transport planner roles.

Working within the transport office in Felixstowe, you will be assisting in the routing , planning and support of the HGV fleet of vehicles, the drivers and the general operation of the general haulage business.

Job description
· Day to day trailer planning (allocating resource and reloading trailers)
· Maintaining haulier relationships
· Working as part of a team with support and guidance
· Maintain and develop a link between customer service and operations
· Dispatch and tracking of trucks & drivers

Skills and competencies:
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience in similar role or market
· Experience in trucking/haulage industry
· Fluent in English
· Good knowledge of IT systems
· Candidates must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge in UK geography, driver hours and law, trailer transport, shipping ferry/port knowledge and last but not least UK haulage market.
