Transport Planner
Penrith
Monday-Friday

The Transport Planner will be responsible for planning routes for our client's HGV vehicles & Drivers, ensuring efficiency and optimisation whilst managing backloads inline with running profitability. You will also be responsible for regular communication with Drivers, ensuring good relationships and effective communication.

The key responsibilities for the role of Transport Planner based in Penrith will be:

Route planning, optimisation, and efficiency.
Communicating with Drivers out on the road.
Updating customers when any delays etc occur.
Ensure routes comply with Driver's hours and WTD.
Ensuring backloads are effectively planned and profitable.

The successful candidate for the role of Transport Planner based in Penrith will have:

Previous experience in transport planning.
A strong background in logistics.
Great organisational skills.
Great verbal and written communication skills.
A good working knowledge of Driver's hours, WTD, and transport compliance.

The successful candidate for the role of Transport Planner based in Penrith will receive:

A salary of £40,000 - £45,000 DOE.
A Monday - Friday working schedule on days.
Great progression opportunities.
