Transport Planner / Logistics Administrator Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire

As part of a small, close-knit office team of three, you'll play a vital role in keeping transport operations running smoothly while working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. What You'll Be Doing As the hub between drivers, management and operational teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring daily transport activities are planned efficiently and remain fully compliant.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating daily vehicle movements and acting as the main point of contact for drivers. Planning transport schedules alongside the Senior Logistics Manager. Monitoring drivers' hours and carrying out regular tachograph compliance checks. Liaising with operational sites regarding vehicle and stock movements. Managing vehicle inspections, MOT schedules, servicing, repairs and breakdowns. Maintaining accurate records for vehicles, trailers and transport costs. Managing company fuel card administration. Assisting with travel and accommodation bookings for operational teams when required. Providing administrative support to warehouse and stock teams. Handling general office administration, emails and telephone enquiries.About You You'll be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in staying organised and can confidently juggle multiple priorities.
We're looking for someone with:
Previous UK HGV transport planning experience (minimum two years preferred). Experience working within a busy office or logistics environment. A strong understanding of UK HGV legislation and transport compliance. Good working knowledge of tachograph regulations. Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel. Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail. The ability to communicate confidently with drivers, managers and operational teams. A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to get involved wherever needed. The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while remaining calm under pressure.Why Apply?
