I'm currently working with a well-established, growing consultancy that delivers engineering, design, and surveying services across the construction sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner to join their Didcot office.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
Undertake site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre-application advice
Carry out traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and project teams
Attend meetings and support project delivery
Contribute to maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements

Essential:

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. Transport Planning, Civil Engineering)
Experience within a transport planning consultancy environment
Proven experience producing Transport Assessments / Transport Statements
Experience using junction modelling software (e.g. ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, Junctions 9)
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Proactive, organised, and team-oriented
Desirable:

Chartered status (or working towards)
Experience in highway design or Road Safety Audits
Commercial awareness and client relationship skills
