Transport Supervisor

Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well established National organisation with their search for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join their busy facility in Motherwell

Responsibilities will include:

* To be self-motivated, plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage the resources required for the department

* Management of drivers, maintaining their schedule and recording their profiles in conjunction with the supervisors and managers.

* Organise and carry out successful driver recruitment throughout the year

* Ensure all accident and damage reports are investigated and costs attributed correctly in conjunction with accounts invoicing.

* Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedules and diaries are maintained

* Plan and action all movements in conjunction with Operations Distribution office Team

* Work closely with the team ensure all site health & safety procedures are adhered to.

* Uphold and enforce the drivers’ compliance policy.

* Ensure drivers hours are maximised but not exceeded, including accurate timesheet management.

* Ensure continuous legal management of drivers’ hours & WTD regulations are being managed throughout the year

THE CANDIDATE

* Ideally the candidate will have strong experience within a Transport Management role

* Experience of Managing an extensive Fleet of Vehicles

* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

* A high level of IT literacy

* Company Vehicle
