Travel Agent

One of our clients based on the edge of Reading need to be able to drive is looking for a Travel Agent to join a small, dedicated travel company.Our client is looking for a full-time Travel Agent to join there friendly office-based team and help clients bring their dream trips to life.

As a Travel Agent, you’ll manage all aspects of travel planning and booking from our office. This includes client consultations, creating bespoke itineraries, processing bookings, and supporting clients throughout their journey. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.

• Meet with clients in person and over the phone to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and requirements
• Design and book tailor-made travel itineraries including flights, accommodation, tours, transfers, and extras
• Use GDS, supplier websites, and booking systems to make and manage reservations
• Advise clients on passports, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, and destination-specific requirements
• Resolve travel issues, changes, or emergencies before and during travel
• Keep accurate records of bookings, client details, and payments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
• Stay informed on travel trends, destination updates, and supplier offerings
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support occasional promotional or local marketing efforts

Requirements:

• Strong geographical and product knowledge across key destinations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• A genuine passion for travel and customer service
