Treatments Operator

At Beagle Aircraft, we manufacture precision-engineered components and assemblies for some of the world's leading aerospace programmes.

We're looking for an experienced Treatments Operator to join our manufacturing team in Christchurch.

You'll be responsible for carrying out treatment processes on aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings, process specifications and customer requirements.

The Role

Working within our production environment, you'll prepare and process aerospace components through the required treatment operations, ensuring every part is completed accurately, safely and to specification.

This is a hands-on position where attention to detail is essential. You'll work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and our Paint Shop to ensure components meet the required standards and production deadlines.

What You'll Be Doing

* Carry out chemical treatment processes on aerospace components in accordance with customer and engineering specifications.

* Read and follow engineering planning sheets, drawings and process instructions.

* Prepare and condition components and test pieces prior to treatment.

* Ensure treatment processes are completed accurately and within required production timescales.

* Follow chemical handling, Health & Safety and process-control requirements.

* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

* Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Paint teams to resolve manufacturing or process issues.

* Work independently and as part of the wider manufacturing team to achieve production requirements without compromising quality.

About You

We're looking for someone with practical experience working within chemical processing, surface treatments or a similar controlled manufacturing process.

You'll ideally have:

* Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.

* Good practical knowledge of chemical processing and component treatments.

* Experience working from engineering drawings, planning sheets or process specifications.

* A strong understanding of Health & Safety when working with chemicals and controlled processes.

* Relevant chemical safety training.

* A recognised qualification or equivalent time-served practical experience.

* Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.

* The ability to work effectively to tight production deadlines.

* You'll be proactive, dependable and comfortable taking ownership of your work while operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
