They support their schools’ Principals and teachers in rapidly improving the quality of education across early years, primary, secondary and sixth-form phases to transform the life chances of their students.
Job Description
Overall Purpose of the Role:
This post is located within the Trust’s national team. The post has been created to support those responsible for attendance in their academies to rapidly improve it, creating safe environments which ensure learners thrive, and those at risk of poor attendance are supported effectively to attend school, feel seen, heard and valued. The post combines a general responsibility for attendance at all schools with a focused prioritisation of two schools at any time where extra time is given to set up and drive strong attendance practice.

Essential Criteria
Maths and English GCSE at 4 or higher
Educated to Level 3 with the equivalent of 3 A levels
Evidence over time of a commitment to ongoing learning and training in specialist areas linked to this JD
Working with young people, including the most vulnerable, those with ACEs and barriers preventing their ability to thrive
Experience as an Attendance Manager/leader in a school or local authority setting
Experience as an EWO in a school or local authority setting
Proven impact in previous roles which has resulted in high levels of attendance over a sustained period of time.
A strong background in organisation and administration
Knowledge SEMH needs and mental health provisions and programmes
Experience working with vulnerable families and learners across a range of ages, settings and situations
A robust awareness of safeguarding, keeping children safe, noticing welfare concerns, and understanding how and when to take appropriate action.
Understanding of how poor attendance links to safeguarding
