Role Overview


We are looking for a Trust Manager to join our Corporate Trust team in our London office. The Trust Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the onboarding of new transactions and post-issue matters in relation to Medium-Term Notes (MTNs), repackaging's, decommissioning energy trusts and other capital markets products. 


 


Main Duties



  • Reviewing and commenting on legal documentation relating to repack issues

  • Dealing with amendments on Repack and Medium Term Note programmes as and when required

  • Dealing with ongoing administrative requirements of Medium Term Note programmes and new issues

  • Reviewing and commenting on the annual updates for Medium Term Programmes and Repack Programmes

  • Support the onboarding of new transactions and decommissioning energy trusts and dealing with the post-closing management of the decommissioning energy trusts

  • Acting as an ambassador of Law Debenture and promoting awareness of the services offered, with a view to attracting further new business and enhancing the brand and reputation of Law Debenture

  • Liaising with Lawyers, Lead Managers and Issuers on a broad range of issues

  • Liaising with the Finance department to ensure the preparation of invoices for legal and trustee fees incurred in connection with new issues. Dispatching the prepared invoices and monitoring the payment of these fees from the relevant parties

  • Arranging signing of Trust Deeds, Legal Charges, Powers of Attorney and a variety of other legal documents

  • Prepare Written Resolutions/Minutes for Trustee Committees and implement decisions as and when required

  • Maintenance of our internal database including entering new transactions, updating existing transactions, running various reports, completing diary notes and tasks

  • The entry and generation of diary notes in respect of new transactions

  • Day-to-day administration on property related matters for Housing Associations 

  • Dealing with releases on Commodity linked transactions

  • Ensuring colleagues are regularly informed and up-to-date on the status of any team matter being worked on, invoicing progress and issues surrounding settlement of fees

  • Training and supporting junior members of the team

  • Attending meetings with external clients in order to promote business; together with identifying areas for growth and appropriate contacts to meet

  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects

  • Undertake training and development as appropriate and engage fully in the performance management process

  • Contribute to the LawDeb culture positively, attend meetings as required, and carry out duties willingly and diligently where regulatory rules apply, abide by these in spirit and fact carry out such other tasks as you may be reasonably directed to do by the senior management team from time to time

  • Assist the new business team, where required, to on-board new capital markets products 

  • Work with senior colleagues, where required, to identify and on-board new energy decommissioning trust opportunities 


Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. law)

  • Analytical approach

  • Diligent, with excellent attention to detail

  • IT literate

  • Outstanding communication and numeracy skills (incl. grammar and adapting communication style to suit audience)

  • Confident to assist in Business development

  • Some prior corporate trust or other related experience preferred but not essential
