Trusts and Estates Senior Manager

A well-regarded group of Tax Specialists and Chartered Accountants is expanding following ongoing success and acquisition of new, dynamic clients. They are on the lookout for a Senior or Manager specialising in Trusts and Estates to strengthen their expanding department.

In this position, you will oversee a selection of trust and tax-related clients, while also supporting the directors with occasional consultancy and strategic advice.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing compliance matters such as the creation of trust accounts, trust tax returns (self-assessment) and forms R185
• Completing inheritance tax (IHT) documentation
• Preparing estate-related tax submissions
• Handling individual tax returns
• Assisting with occasional planning and technical advisory tasks, which will be varied, stimulating, and intellectually demanding

Role Involves

• Drafting of Trust financial statements
• Completion of Trust tax returns and relevant documentation
• Submission of Inheritance Tax forms
• Estate-related Tax return preparation
• Personal Tax filing responsibilities
• Providing varied and technically engaging advisory and planning services

What We’re Looking For
Applicants are likely to be fully qualified (CTA/ACA or comparable), with a background in working with Private Clients, Trusts, and Estates. Alternatively, you might be coming from a broader accountancy practice but wish to pivot towards specialising in Taxation.
A strong willingness to expand your knowledge base and exceptional interpersonal abilities are essential, especially as you’ll frequently translate complex tax matters for clients in an accessible and jargon-free manner.
