Turnaround Manager

Ready to lead major shutdowns and turnarounds on a large-scale manufacturing site?

The Opportunity
A leading industrial manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced TAR Manager to lead the planning and delivery of major turnaround and shutdown activities at a large process facility. This is a key position with responsibility for ensuring critical maintenance and project work is executed safely, efficiently and in line with operational, budgetary and performance objectives.

Turnaround Manager, Shutdown Manager, Maintenance Manager, Outage Manager, Plant Engineering Manager, Asset Manager, Projects Manager, Reliability Manager, Engineering Manager, or Site Maintenance Lead.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Develop and implement turnaround strategies that support safety, operational reliability, asset integrity, cost control and delivery objectives.
Build, coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams comprising internal personnel, specialist contractors and external partners throughout preparation and execution phases.
Produce comprehensive turnaround schedules that incorporate maintenance activities, plant shutdown and restart programmes, and associated project work.
Manage contractor performance, resources, budgets and programme delivery to ensure key milestones are achieved.
Work closely with operational and site leadership teams to maintain alignment between turnaround activities and wider business priorities.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Chartered Engineer status or significant practical experience delivering maintenance, turnaround and project programmes within heavy industry.
Demonstrable leadership experience managing large, multi-disciplined teams in complex operational environments.
Strong knowledge of contractor management, subcontract delivery and engineering service providers.
Proven ability to make sound decisions, manage risk and drive successful outcomes under demanding conditions.
Experience controlling budgets, monitoring costs and delivering projects within financial targets.Desirable experience:
Understanding of industrial relations practices and working knowledge of the NAECI agreement.
Familiarity with integrated manufacturing operations, logistics considerations and production environments.
Experience using SAP or similar enterprise maintenance management systems.
