Our success is built on putting people first, delivering exceptional learning experiences, and working closely with employers to provide innovative, tailored training solutions.

At FI, we believe learning should be engaging, personal and impactful. We are passionate about developing talent, supporting career progression and helping learners achieve their professional goals.

About the Role

We are looking for ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountants to join our growing Reading and Southampton team.

You do not need previous teaching experience. Full training and support will be provided. What matters most is your passion for sharing knowledge, your ability to engage and inspire others, and your technical understanding of accountancy and finance.

This role would suit someone who enjoys learning, collaborating with others, making a difference to students' careers and contributing to the growth of a successful business.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging classroom and online courses for AAT, ACA, ACCA and CIMA qualifications.

  • Teach cohorts of students and apprentices in both face-to-face and virtual environments.

  • Deliver courses in line with FI's teaching programmes, materials and quality standards.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs and encourage student success.

  • Support apprenticeship programmes, including the delivery of professional skills and apprenticeship-related learning where required.

Student Support

  • Answer student questions both in and out of the classroom.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on submitted work and assessments.

  • Monitor learner progress and support students to achieve their professional and apprenticeship goals.

  • Share learner performance updates with colleagues and stakeholders as appropriate.

Client & Business Engagement

  • Provide reporting and feedback to client managers where required.

  • Support careers events, employer engagement activities and business development initiatives.

  • Contribute to learning resource development and continuous improvement projects.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across academic, operational and commercial teams.

  • Support the wider success and growth of the FI network.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate student records and administrative documentation.

  • Support additional duties reasonably required by management.

  • Promote and uphold First Intuition's values, quality standards and safeguarding commitments.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to live and work in the UK.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Level 7 qualification).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Passion for teaching, learning and helping others succeed.

  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.

  • Positive, proactive and solution-focused approach.

  • Ability to manage changing priorities and workloads effectively.

  • Professional and confident when dealing with students, clients and colleagues.

  • Experience working collaboratively across teams.

  • Knowledge of professional accountancy qualifications and apprenticeship standards.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Experience within the accountancy or finance sector.

  • Experience supporting apprenticeships or professional qualifications.

  • Previous coaching, mentoring, training or teaching experience.

  • Experience working within educational or learning environments.

  • Experience creating learning resources or contributing to curriculum development

What We Offer

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

  • 3 additional FI Days each year.

  • Hybrid working and equipment provided for homeworking.

  • Flexible and family-friendly working policies.

  • Employee Assistance Programme with 24-hour confidential support.

  • Competitive pension scheme.

  • Private Medical Insurance.

  • Ongoing training and professional development.

  • Long-term career progression opportunities within a growing organisation.

  • Employee perks and lifestyle discounts
