TV Writer

Our new TV writer will be responsible for writing the most up-to-date, compelling and enjoyable content from the world of TV and Film.

With a fountain of knowledge of what content appeals to the HELLO! audience, interesting ideas and a flair for brilliant headlines, the TV writer will know what makes an appealing online story, as well as possess the ability to turn around fresh, engaging content quickly and effectively.

They should also be proactive in volunteering to attend TV and film events on behalf of HELLO!, be it red carpet media lines, award shows, screenings, Q&As, interviews and junkets. They will need to
be happy to appear on camera for online and social media, and be keen to join other multimedia projects, from video series to social content to podcast work, as and when it may occur.• Writing daily content – news, features and galleries - for HELLO!’s website in the TV and Film section
• Working with Deputy Online Editor with forward planning listings for TV/Film events
• Pitching daily original ideas and galleries
• Helping with the print magazine’s culture section
• Working with Audience team on SEO features
• Report on stat insights to improve content
• Author weekly newsletter
• Attend events in daytime and/or evening when required
• Conduct interviews with celebrity talent
