BAM Infrastructure is currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth, and we are seeking an experienced 4D Site Planner who will be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on Digital Construction Technologies. Experienced in 3D/4D Planning, working with designers, 4D visualisation/modelling to bring the project to life. Capable of visualising complex problems and articulating them on screen and off. Checking and validating models to and from the client/designers and coordinating with our site teams to ensure they reflect our team’s intent. 

Due to the site being a high-security military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and who have been a UK resident for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.

Your work environment

• Operate 3-5 days a week on site in Devonport, the rest of the time could be working from home.

Your mission

• Act as a subject matter expert for the digital construction tools/applications and provide technical support to personnel as and when required.


• Effectively communicate with all stakeholders and work closely with the senior project management team to ensure a value-added approach to digital is realized.


• Represent the company where necessary at internal and external meetings.


• Ensure that all modelling work is carried out in compliance with ISO 19650, BAM, and CAD standards.


• Produce high-end visualisations to aid decision-making and facilitate onsite construction.


• Become the point of authority for all Synchro 4D pro Projects.


• Assist and train Digital Construction Technicians and Modellers whenever required.


• Maintain high safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and report any inadequacies.

Who are we looking for?

• Professional background in an industry-related role: Engineering, Construction, Architecture


• Educational Background: Higher Education in Construction or related fields.


• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D pro.


• White CSCS card


• Prior experience of, 3Ds Max and video editing software beneficial but not essential.


• Working knowledge of ISO 19650.


• Strong interest in 3D-4D design, modelling and creating immersive models.


• Possesses a high level of visualisation techniques (Framing, Colour, Contrast, Symmetry etc).


• Knowledge and use of model coding for planning purposes within the 3D and 4D model


• Able to collaborate and work effectively within a multidisciplinary and diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
