As Unit Catering Supervisor, you will lead a friendly kitchen team, oversee the day-to-day catering service while remaining actively involved in preparing, cooking and serving healthy, balanced meals.
Lancashire County Council's School Catering Service provides more than 60,000 meals every day across over 500 schools, and you'll play an important part in ensuring pupils receive a nutritious meal in a safe and welcoming environment.

Pay is pro rata so advertised wage is for full time equivalent,32.5 hours per week, equalling 6.5 hrs per day although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
