Unit Nurse Manager

Salary: £52,500
Hours: 38.5 per week (a mix of clinical and supernumerary hours)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Unit Nurse Manager to join a dedicated team within a well-established nursing home for older adults. The unit supports residents with general nursing, dementia, and palliative care needs, offering a warm, person-centred environment with a Good CQC rating.

This is more than a management role — it’s a chance to lead a committed team, shape outstanding care experiences, and support residents in living well with dignity and purpose.

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, candidates will need:

  • A valid NMC registration (RGN or RMN)

  • Previous leadership experience within an elderly care or nursing home setting

  • Strong clinical knowledge, particularly in wound care and dementia care

  • Excellent communication and team-building skills

  • A proactive, resilient, and compassionate leadership style

Why Join This Service?
Working here means being part of a values-led team that puts people first — residents and staff alike. You can expect:

  • A competitive salary of £52,500 per year

  • Paid DBS check

  • Company pension scheme

  • Training and career progression opportunities

  • Discounted meals while on shift

  • Free onsite parking

What You’ll Be Doing
As Unit Nurse Manager, you’ll play a central role in both the strategic and hands-on delivery of high-quality care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and supporting the development of nursing practice across the unit

  • Overseeing day-to-day care delivery, with a hands-on approach when required

  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards

  • Mentoring and supervising staff to promote professional growth and consistent care

  • Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate person-centred support

  • Using your wound care expertise to guide and support complex cases

  • Upholding a culture of dignity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement
