Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic and caring Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings, nurseries and Reception classes across local schools.

You don’t need a formal Early Years qualification to apply. If you have experience working with children, a caring nature and a genuine passion for helping children learn and develop, we want to hear from you!

The Role

As a Supply EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and Early Years staff to support children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities
Working with children individually and in small groups
Supporting learning through play-based activities
Encouraging communication, language and social development
Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
Helping children develop independence and confidence
Supporting indoor and outdoor learning
Assisting with routines, lunchtime and general classroom duties
Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
Building positive and trusting relationships with children
Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies

About You

We’re looking for candidates who:

Have previous experience working with children or young people
Have a genuine passion for Early Years and child development
Are caring, patient and enthusiastic
Are confident interacting with young children
Can build positive relationships quickly
Are reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
Are comfortable working as part of a wider school team
Have a good understanding of safeguarding
Do not necessarily hold a formal Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
Experience in a nursery, school, childcare, youth work, sports coaching, volunteering or care setting would be beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
