UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer-South

When you join Eaton, you become part of a global company where your work makes a real impact.\n\nWe\u0027re now looking for a UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer to join our UK team who will cover the Southern UK region.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nAs the UPS Power Quality Field Service Engineer, you will deliver exceptional service to Eaton\u2019s customers. In this role, you will carry out preventative maintenance on Eaton-manufactured UPS systems and support existing installations to ensure optimal performance. You will play a key role in supporting hyperscale data center operations across the region.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Perform fault diagnosis on UPS systems\n * Work confidently with on-line and line-interactive UPS technologies\n * Conduct preventative maintenance across an established customer base\n * Commission and repair all UPS system types, including standalone and parallel configurations\n * Set up and configure remote monitoring software\n * Communicate technical information to key stakeholders\n * Apply anti-static procedures consistently\n * Follow the ECN process for all repairs\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)\n * Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical installation or maintenance\n * Solid understanding of UPS systems\n * Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP\n * Understanding of PLC programming (power control, generator control, SCADA, process control)\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Strong communication and customer\u2011focused approach\n * Problem\u2011solving mindset\n * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively\n * Adaptable and confident in fast\u2011paced environments\n * Collaborative team player\n\n\n\n## What we offer:\n\n * Training, development, and career progression\n * Company vehicle \u0026 other benefits\n * Wellbeing programs and a strong safety culture\n * Opportunity to work with leading UPS technologies in mission\u2011critical environments\n\n\n\n#LI-MM2\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
