UX Designer

SENIOR INTERACTION DESIGNER - £70,000 - REMOTE (WITH OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO CLIENT SITE IN TAUNTON) - SC CLEARANCE REQUIRED

MERITUS are recruiting for a Senior Interaction Designer to join a leading organisation delivering complex UK Central Government and Defence programmes.

This role would suit an experienced Interaction Designer, UX Designer or Senior UX Designer with strong expertise in user-centred design, prototyping, wireframing and accessible digital services. Experience across discovery, alpha and delivery, particularly within Government or Defence, would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Lead interaction design across discovery, alpha and delivery.
Create wireframes, prototypes, interaction models and design patterns.
Work directly with users and customers to understand needs.
Facilitate design workshops and stakeholder sessions.
Collaborate with researchers, service and content designers, developers and stakeholders.
Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles.
Communicate design decisions using evidence and user insight.Skills & Experience:

Essential:

SC Clearance
Strong commercial experience in interaction design / UX design.
Experience across discovery, alpha and delivery.
Strong wireframing, prototyping and interaction design capability.
Comfortable working directly with customers and users.
Confident facilitating workshops.
Strong stakeholder and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Experience working closely with development teams.Desirable:

UK Central Government, Defence or regulated-sector experience.
Knowledge of GDS / (url removed) service standards.
Experience with design systems and Agile delivery.
Interest or experience in service and content design.Benefits:
