Vacuum Systems Engineer – PVD / Thin Film Deposition
Location: High Wycombe
Working hours: Full-time | Permanent | Monday to Friday
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Parkside Recruitment are looking for an experienced and motivated Vacuum Systems Engineer with a strong background in Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) and vacuum systems to join our clients dynamic and innovative engineering team.

About:
In this role, you will be directly involved in the design, development, and build of advanced thin film deposition systems used in a wide range of cutting-edge applications.

You'll be part of a company with over 20 years of expertise in the thin film technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, assemble, and test HV and UHV PVD deposition systems
  • Provide technical input on system configuration, upgrades, and customer requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to vacuum components and thin film processes
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver high-quality, customised solutions
  • Support installation and after-sales service, potentially including occasional travel
About You:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in PVD and vacuum systems (HV/UHV)
  • Strong understanding of thin film deposition techniques and technologies
  • Practical experience with vacuum pumps, gauges, feedthroughs, and related components
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment
