Value Stream Leader

We have been retained by a specialist manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area to source a Value Stream Manager to lead the operational performance of a key manufacturing area. A fantastic opportunity to drive improvements across a growing SME manufacturer that is now part of a larger group.

Leading a multi functional manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the end to end performance of your value stream, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective delivery of products whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement:

* Lead the day to day performance of a manufacturing value stream, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.

* Working with other SLT members to drive operational excellence and best practice across all manufacturing functions.

* Develop and implement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, quality and customer service through Lean manufacturing principles.

* Establish a high-performance culture built around accountability, teamwork, engagement and continuous improvement.

* Develop, coach and mentor your team, and supporting the ongoing development of people throughout your team.

* Monitor and report on key operational KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing sustainable solutions.

* Lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, improve processes and maximise manufacturing performance.

An experienced manufacturing leader, you will have a proven track record of managing a value stream, production area or manufacturing operation within a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will be proactive, engaging and credible, with the ability to lead from the front and inspire those around you. Proven success in delivering improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost is essential. Experience of Lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, continuous improvement, KPI management and people development would be advantageous.
