VAT Manager

An International Education Group are looking for a VAT Manager to join their team. This is a newly created role, reporting into the Head of Tax. You will be responsible for all the management of the groups compliance and advisory tax work. As the group is expanding into a number of different international markets, the VAT Managers role has become more pivotal, ensuring all compliance, strategy, controls and processes are in order.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Dealing with enquiries and providing VAT related advice
• Oversee VAT compliance and ensure finance strategy conforms to VAT legislation
• To investigate and keep informed of revised VAT legislation and advice both internal and external stakeholders
• Minimise VAT tax charge
• Review VAT implications of group structure and advice subsidiaries
• Liaise with HMRC and manage stakeholders
• To provide guidance on indirect tax issues to staff, providing specialist and high level VAT advice.

Qualifications

• Tax or accounting qualification - desirable
• Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM) - desirable
