Vehicle Conversion Technician Engineer Hours and Benefits

* 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

* 23 days holiday plus bank holidays

This role is commutable from the following areas: Derby, Nottingham, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield, Chesterfield.

Vehicle Conversion Technician Role Overview

You will be developing and installing specialist equipment across a range of vehicles.

You'll combine vehicle surveys, data capture, fabrication, power tools and equipment installation, working closely with the design team to develop and validate new conversion kits.

A practical, mechanically minded approach and a knack for solving problems and making things work is essential.

Vehicle Conversion Technician Candidate Requirements

* Practical engineering experience with a strong mechanical focus

* Comfortable using hand and power tools

* Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering information (CAD experience is useful, but not essential)

* Knowledge of vehicle construction, components and functionality

* A practical, logical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Good communication and Microsoft Office skills

* A full UK driving licence is essential.

Vehicle Conversion Technician Key Responsibilities

* Work alongside the Engineer to develop new vehicle conversion kits

* Carry out vehicle surveys, measurements and data capture

* Check, maintain and validate engineering data

* Fabricate and install specialist mobility equipment

* Produce clear technical documentation and installation information

* Support parts, kit and development activities
