Vehicle Damage Assessor

Our Fleet Department is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Vehicle Damage Assessor to join the Maintenance team. In this role, you will take ownership of the authorisation and cost control of vehicle repairs, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and cost-effectively. 

You will be responsible for independently assessing repair estimates, validating repair methods, and ensuring value for money across all vehicle maintenance activities. Your expertise will contribute to effective repair cost management and the optimisation of fleet operations. 

Additionally, you will play a key role in minimising vehicle downtime by monitoring supplier performance, managing service level agreements (SLAs), and driving continuous improvement in repair processes. Your insights and experience will help maintain high standards across our fleet maintenance operations. 

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• Negotiate & authorise repair assessments in line with OEM & SIXT policies. 
• Accurately update internal claims and fleet management systems with repair statuses, and cost details. 
• Liaise with suppliers to address repair challenges or delays 
• Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion 
• Provide technical support where required within the business 
• Engage in ad hoc projects that aim to improve the department’s efficiency, output and help reduce overall cost and downtime 

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Basic level of understanding of vehicle repair methodology. 
• Commercially astute. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Competency in various computer applications systems including Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. 
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. 
• Ability to influence and make decisions by applying independent judgement. 
• Team player with a positive attitude. 
• Exceptional negotiation skills.
