Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester or Automotive Technician looking to utilise your technical expertise in a specialist inspection environment?

My client is seeking a Vehicle Inspection Technician to join their growing team based in Long Bennington. This is an excellent opportunity to step away from the pressures of workshop productivity targets and focus on what you do best, thoroughly assessing vehicle condition and quality using your mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.

As a Vehicle Inspection Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting a wide range of vehicles, identifying mechanical, cosmetic and structural issues, and producing detailed inspection reports that support vehicle quality, safety and customer confidence. Working as part of a professional inspection operation, you'll play a key role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards.

The Vehicle Inspection Technician role is ideally suited to candidates with a background in vehicle maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, MOT testing, vehicle appraisal or inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed vehicle inspections and assessments
Complete accurate and professional inspection reports
Carry out pre-purchase inspections, warranty evaluations and audits
Identify mechanical, cosmetic and structural defects
Assess vehicle condition against quality and safety standards
Highlight evidence of poor-quality repairs or previous damage
Support operational improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience within vehicle servicing, maintenance or MOT environments
Previous experience conducting vehicle inspections, appraisals or audits
Strong mechanical knowledge and fault identification skills
Excellent attention to detail and report-writing ability
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively within a site-based inspection environment
Full UK Driving Licence
Interest in continuous improvement and operational development
