Job Description - Vehicle Technician

Job Title: Vehicle Technician – Automotive Service Centre – Paignton
?? Location: Paignton
?? Salary: £28,577 – £35,000 per annum
?? Bonus: Uncapped average bonus of £4,800/year (potential to earn more!)
?? Hours: 5 days per week (Centre closed on Sundays)

?? About the Role We are working in partnership with the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance, and repair group to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for their busy service centre in Paignton.
You’ll be joining a professional workshop environment that offers excellent long-term career prospects, regular training, and a competitive bonus scheme.

? Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles
  • Conducting more complex repair work including clutches, timing belts, injectors, head gaskets, and more
  • Servicing vehicle electrics, steering, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Working efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance
  • Delivering great customer service and clear communication within the team
?? Key Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
    OR proven time-served technician experience
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points
  • Confident with diagnostic tools and experienced in complex repairs
  • MOT Testing qualification is a plus (training can be provided)
  • Experience in an Autocentre, dealership, or independent garage environment
