📍 Basildon (SS13 1EY) | 💰 £36,000 – £44,000 per year | 🕒 Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop based in Basildon.

We’re looking for a skilled technician with strong all-round experience who can confidently work across a variety of vehicles, including prestige brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Land Rover and VAG.

From in-depth diagnostics and fault finding through to servicing, repairs and cambelt replacements, this is a varied and hands-on role within a professional workshop environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

✅ Servicing and repairs on all makes and models
✅ Advanced diagnostics and fault finding
✅ Mechanical and electrical repairs
✅ Cambelt replacements and major repair work
✅ Working on prestige brands including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Land Rover and VAG
✅ Carrying out work on both cars and vans
✅ Using diagnostic equipment effectively
✅ Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
✅ Recording work completed accurately
✅ Maintaining workshop quality and safety standards

What We’re Looking For

✅ Level 3 NVQ in Automotive Maintenance & Repair (or above) – essential
✅ Strong diagnostics and defect repair experience
✅ Excellent communication skills
✅ Knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment and vehicle systems
✅ Ability to work efficiently under pressure
✅ High attention to detail
✅ Quality-focused approach
✅ Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship

Desirable (but not essential)

🔹 MOT Tester qualification
🔹 Master Technician accreditation
🔹 F-Gas accredited
🔹 Hybrid / EV training

What’s on Offer

💰 £36,000 – £44,000 per year
📅 Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 5:00pm
