Salary: £36,000–£38,000, depending on shift pattern

Car Dealer Recruitment is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with diagnostic experience to join a busy and established automotive workshop based in Croydon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is confident carrying out servicing, mechanical repairs and basic diagnostic work across a range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

* Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs

* Diagnosing basic electrical and mechanical faults

* Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues

* Completing brake, suspension, steering and general repair work

* Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required

* Accurately completing job cards and recording all work undertaken

* Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally

Requirements

Applicants must:

* Have at least three years of hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic

* Be capable of carrying out basic vehicle diagnostics

* Have their own tools

* Be confident working independently

* Have strong mechanical and fault-finding skills

* Hold a full UK driving licence

* Take pride in delivering high-quality work

Relevant automotive qualifications are preferred, although applications from experienced technicians with a strong practical background will also be considered.
