Vehicle Technician

A well-established dealership in Newport is seeking a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This position offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and long-term career prospects.

* Salary between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience, with on-target earnings of £40,000 to £50,000+ per annum

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
* Diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently
* Performing vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance according to manufacturer standards
* Reporting on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance
* Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures
* Maintaining high-quality work in a fast-paced franchise environment
* Organising workload effectively and working as part of a team under KPI targets
* Supporting colleagues in achieving service department goals
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
* Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* At least 1-2 years of practical workshop experience beyond qualification
* Ability to produce consistently high-quality work
* Strong team player with good organisational skills
* Driving licence with minimal points and access to a vehicle within a commutable distance of Newport
