Location: Guildford

Salary: Basic salary up to £40,000 + bonuses + company benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5:30pm, Saturday mornings on rota paid as overtime (1 in 4)

Hawkfield Recruitment is working with an established dealership in Guildford who are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their Aftersales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills to join an exciting manufacturer, offering a basic salary of up to £40,000.

You will be joining an established workshop and carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and complex diagnostic work to a high manufacturer standard.

Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician:

* Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards

* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently

* Carry out complex diagnostic work using manufacturer diagnostic equipment

* Complete repairs following successful fault diagnosis

* Carry out vehicle inspections and identify additional work where required

* Complete repair and maintenance work efficiently and to a high standard

* Ensure all work is accurately documented

* Work closely with the Workshop Controller and Service team

* Ensure vehicles are repaired correctly first time wherever possible

* Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail

* Follow manufacturer processes and workshop procedures

* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

* Work effectively as part of the wider workshop team

What We're Looking For:

* Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent

* Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability

* Previous main dealer experience would be highly advantageous but isn't essential

* Previous manufacturer diagnostic training or accreditation would be advantageous

* Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge

* Excellent attention to detail

* Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

* Good communication and teamwork skills

* Full UK Driving Licence
