Job Title: Vehicle Technician - 4-Day Week
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £35,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: 4-day working week (rotating schedule for two 4-day weekends per month)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician - 4-Day Week to join our busy dealership workshop in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional technician looking for a better work-life balance through a progressive 4-day working week schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and MOT preparations on a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and fault finding to ensure high quality workmanship.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and dealership procedures.
Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer satisfaction.
Keep up to date with manufacturer technical training and development.

Working Hours

Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Week 2: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Off days: Friday to Sunday in Week 1, Saturday to Monday in Week 2
This rotating schedule provides two 4-day weekends per month, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Candidate Profile

Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or garage environment.
Qualified with relevant automotive certifications or NVQs.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
