Shefford, Bedfordshire | Monday to Friday | No Weekend Working

Salary: £37,500 - £40,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established, independent vehicle servicing and repair business based in Shefford, who are looking to add an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to their friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established local business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.

The business provides a comprehensive range of automotive services, including servicing, MOTs, diagnostics, mechanical repairs, brakes and general vehicle maintenance across a variety of makes and models.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of servicing, maintenance, diagnostic and repair work.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance

* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

* Completing mechanical repairs and fault finding

* Brake inspections, repairs and replacements

* Vehicle inspections and safety checks

* Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults

* Working across a variety of makes and models

* Identifying additional work required and communicating this to the relevant team member

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

* Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop

About You

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Motor Vehicle Technician with a strong practical background.

You will ideally have:

* Previous experience within a garage, dealership or independent workshop

* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

* Experience carrying out servicing and general mechanical repairs

* Good attention to detail

* A professional and reliable approach

* The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

* A full UK driving licence

An MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
