We're recruiting for both Vehicle Technician and Senior Vehicle Technician positions in Basildon, offering basic salaries ranging from £32,429 to £35,117.55, depending on the position.

With the potential to earn £55,000–£60,000, these opportunities could suit Technicians looking to maximise their earnings while working within an established workshop environment.

Whether you're an experienced Technician with strong servicing and repair skills or a Senior Technician confident in diagnostics and complex fault-finding, there could be an opportunity to suit you.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The workshop is looking for capable Technicians who can work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.

The package includes:

* £32,429–£35,117.55 basic salary, depending on position

* Potential earnings of £55,000–£60,000

* Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

* One in three Saturday mornings

* Established dealership environment

* Full-time, permanent positions

THE ROLE

* Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs

* Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults

* Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues

* Follow manufacturer procedures and technical information

* Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work where appropriate

* Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard

* Maintain accurate job cards and workshop documentation

* Work towards workshop productivity and efficiency targets

* Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety

The Senior Vehicle Technician position will require strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities, including the ability to investigate more complex vehicle issues.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll need:

* Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent

* Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic

* Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience

* Strong diagnostic capabilities for the Senior Vehicle Technician position

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full UK driving licence

It would be great if you also have:

* Main dealership experience

* Manufacturer training or accreditation

* Experience using diagnostic equipment

* Experience working towards workshop productivity targets

* MOT Tester qualification

* Hybrid or electric vehicle experience
