Ventilation Design Engineer Surveyor

Ventilation designer & surveyor is required for a varied cradle-to-grave role within a small, long‑established, family‑run ventilation contractor. The company specialise in LEV, dust and fume extraction, humidity and temperature control ventilation.

Essential requirements:

A design background in HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration is essential for this role
Ability to design and size ventilation systems, ductwork or other similar HVAC solutions
Understand fluid dymanics, pressure loss calcs
Customer facing skill set
Full driving licencePackage: circa £40K - £50K + car or allowance

Key duties include:

You will handle projects from customer enquiry to installation; follow up enquiries, site survey, design & size ventilation systems, procurement, manufacturing, managing sub contract installers.

Responding to telephone and website enquiries

Visiting customers to survey and build and maintain relationships, explaining technical capability of systems.

Designing & sizing systems to client specifications

Planning, organising and supervising suppliers and installers.

Managing installations and all associated project documentation.

Supporting preparation of RAMS, method statements and technical paperwork.

Ensuring the Quality Management System meets ISO9001:2015 standards.

hybrid working is possible with regular days in office. 2/3It is likely you have worked for a ventilation, air conditioning or heating contractor as a designer / surveyor, contracts manager, sales engineer or similar and able to design bespoke HVAC systems.
