Denenberg Veterinary Psychiatry is looking for an ambitious veterinary surgeon who wants to build a long-term career in veterinary behavioural medicine, rather than simply collect another qualification and move on.

Based in Bristol, this is a full-time employed residency working closely with Dr Sagi Denenberg, giving you the opportunity to develop specialist expertise within a dedicated referral service. You’ll see an interesting and varied caseload, have structured support and feedback, and gradually progress from observation through supervised to independent case management.

Also, importantly, this is about what happens after the residency too.

Our aim is to find someone who wants to stay, develop and become an important part of the future of the business. Successfully complete your residency and, if the fit is right for both of us, you’ll have the opportunity to buy into the practice.

Is this you?

You’ll hold a recognised veterinary degree, be registered with the RCVS. You’ll have completed an internship or have equivalent postgraduate clinical experience.

More importantly, you’ll be curious, motivated and keen to improve. You’ll welcome direct feedback, enjoy working collaboratively and have the ambition to become a specialist, and potentially much more.

The programme may support an ECAWBM or ACVB residency, depending on your eligibility and professional goals, with a potential dual pathway for the right candidate.
