Vice President, Engineering

This company delivers exceptional customer experiences to the portfolio companies of a large umbrella business. The headquarters are based across Europe, Asia, and America, and this role is based in the London office servicing the European portfolio companies.

Why is this role important?

The Vice President, Engineering provides enhanced department support of acquisition, disposition, financing, and asset management services. Oversees technical vendor activities and partners with Portfolio Companies.

How would you add value?

• Ensure project setup and ongoing status updates within software platforms for project tracking, data management and reporting
• Advise on choice and appropriateness of vendors including advice on costs
• Manage technical review of vendor reports to ensure each meets company and client protocols and accurately describes the asset and quantifies risks
• Interact regularly with clients to ensure that goals and objectives are established and achieved
• Provide guidance and advice on building and construction issues that arise in the course of acquisitions, disposals and financings
• Provide technical direction and guidance to vendors assigned to projects to ensure conformance to scopes of work
• Support large portfolios of projects, liaising with team members and tracking status

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in architecture or engineering or construction or designation as a member of the Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
• Minimum of 10 years commercial building evaluation or commercial design experience with a general understanding of all building systems: site work, building envelope, with a strong emphasis on either MEP or infrastructure risk, and UK and EU development and construction programs
• Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of options in complex, fluid, situations
• Ability to provide straightforward, pragmatic and business-focused advice to deal and asset management teams
• High functioning analytical and quantitative skills with the drive to develop strategic solutions
• Knowledge of real estate financial terms and principle
