Victim Liaison Officer
Part time permanent post - 18.5 hours
Shifts: Flexible working hours policy applies. Normal working hours will be 18.5 hours per week and these will normally be worked during office hours between 07:30hrs to 17:00hrs Wednesday to Friday inclusive.
Grade E: £25,713- £29,874 (pro rata)
Based at Hanley Liberty House but may change to another location within Stoke on Trent within the next 18 months.

About the Opportunity
We are recruiting a victim liaison officer to work as part of the Youth Offender Management team coordinating the Multi-agency Practitioners meetings, liaising between internal and external partners and victims of crime.
The post holder will be a vital role in the liaison with victims of crime and develop an understanding of their needs and will lead, encourage and support victims to be involved in the restorative justice approach, to reduce the fear of crime.
Activities include:
Researching, collating and disseminating information from a range of sources
Contributing to multiagency meetings, liaising with internal and external partners.
Carrying out computer searches on Police and other Information Systems.
The completion and co-ordination of all enquiries in a timely manner.
Liaison with other departments and partner agencies.
Highlighting pertinent information and warnings from research conducted for appropriate risk assessments to be carried out.
All relevant training will be given to the successful applicant.
