Overview of job
Global is home to the UK’s largest commercial radio stations and podcasts. Our video team plays a central role in producing the visual content seen online and on TV. We are seeking an organised and proactive Casual Video Production Assistant, to join our dynamic and fast-paced production management team.

Measures of success –
In the first few months, you would have:
A fountain of video knowledge
An important role in our team
A successful working relationship with the production managers and coordinator in the Production management team
Exposure to a variety of different types of production
Production management experience
An understanding on how to run a safe and timely shoot
Responsibilities of the role
Editorial Support: Collaborate with various Global teams to assist with on-air interviews, digital features, and television broadcasts.
Commercial Production: Aid the commercial video team in producing partnered video content between our radio stations and external brands.
Podcast Production: Coordinate with Global’s podcast producers and video team for scheduling studio recordings and managing post-production edits.
Administrative Duties: Support the production manager and coordinator with scheduling staff and resources for in-house Editorial and Podcast video productions.
Documentation: Prepare production paperwork, including call sheets, risk assessments, contributor release forms, and location agreements.
Financial Assistance: Track costs, raise purchase orders, and reconcile department credit cards.
Production Support: Assist the production management team during pre-production, onsite, and post-production phases of shoots and events.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:
Multitasking and Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excel Proficiency: High-level proficiency in using Excel.
