We\u2019re proud of the progress we\u2019ve made, but we\u2019re just getting started. \n \nJoin Vodafone Business Security Enhanced and strengthen the cyber security of the UK\u0027s Critical National Infrastructure and public sector organisations. \n\n\n## \n\nWhat you\u2019ll do \n \nBe part of the 24x7 Shift team within the VBSE Assure NOC, supporting multiple networks, providing 2nd Line operational support to Government customers. \nProvide expert technical services focusing on Transmission and IP elements within the VBSE network. \n \n\n\n * Undertake Assure team maintenance and fault work in accordance with customer service level agreements.\n * Undertake remote provide/ commissioning work on Tx, IP and equipment deployed on customer and network sites to current specifications.\n * Deal effectively /efficiently with queries from customers.\n * Perform regular audits on the networks and systems.\n * Provide technical support to others in the department and to customers. Make recommendations to VBSE management on complex technical matters.\n\n\n\n## \n\nWho you are \n \n\n\n * Be able to maintain Customer confidentiality and ability to hold security clearance.\n * In depth knowledge of Transmission equipment and networks, DWDM, SDH, PDH, etc, in a telecoms provider environment.\n * Awareness of configuration of Ciena and Alcatel equipment.\n * In depth knowledge of IP networking, switching and routing in a telecoms provider environment.\n * Awareness of configuration of Cisco and Alcatel IP/Ethernet equipment.\n * A clear and analytical approach to problem management.\n * Understanding of ITIL working practices\n\n\n\n \n \nWorried that you don\u2019t meet all the desired criteria exactly? \nWe know that everyone is unique, with multiple aspects to their identity and different experiences behind them.
