Voids Joiner

Work as a Voids Joiner on kitchen and bathroom renewals, upgrades and window installations across void and occupied homes in Aberdeen. You'll use your joinery skills and judgement to deliver a reliable, high quality service alongside a small team, keeping work on track and tenants informed.

Role details

Aberdeen, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, contract until June 2027, PAYE only at £17.16-£19.23 per hour, PVG required.

The role

As the Voids Joiner you'll handle planned kitchen and bathroom replacements, upgrades and related joinery in empty and tenanted properties. You'll also carry out window installation work and other site-based joinery as needed. The role supports a steady programme of property refurbishment and maintenance across a defined housing stock.

What you'll be doing

- Install and renew kitchens, bathrooms and associated joinery fittings in void and occupied properties.
- Fit new windows and complete related joinery work to agreed standards.
- Work safely on construction sites and follow all health and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with other trades to keep work progressing efficiently.
- Use your own initiative to plan tasks, solve on-site issues and maintain quality.
- Communicate clearly with tenants, colleagues and supervisors to support smooth delivery.

What we're looking for

- SVQ2 or NVQ2 in a relevant joinery discipline.
- CSCS card.
- Full driving licence.
- Current PVG membership or ability to obtain it.
- Asbestos awareness training.
- Health and safety awareness and experience of working on construction sites.
- Experience working in or with a Local Authority environment (preferred).
