Voids Multi

A housing provider is seeking an experienced Voids Multi-Trade Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis, carrying out void property refurbishments and repairs across Havant and surrounding areas.

Salary

£22.50 per hour (Umbrella)
£36,000 per annum (Permanent)

Responsibilities

Carrying out all aspects of void property maintenance to ensure homes are ready for new tenants.
Completing a range of carpentry works including:
Door repairs and replacements
Kitchen fitting and repairs
Skirting, architraves, and general woodwork
Lock changes and repairs
Undertaking multi-trade repairs including:
Basic plumbing
Tiling
Patch plastering
Decorating
Identifying and resolving property defects within void properties.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within target turnaround times.
Using a PDA/mobile device to receive, update, and complete job orders.
Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative within social housing or residential maintenance.
Strong carpentry skills with the ability to carry out additional trade disciplines.
Previous experience working on void properties.
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
Good understanding of social housing maintenance standards.
Full UK Driving Licence (company van provided).
DBS check required (completed at offer stage).
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

Kitchen and bathroom fitting experience.
Flooring installation and repairs.
Experience completing full void refurbishments from start to finish.
Basic knowledge of compliance and housing sector standards
